ABCO 5watt pre-heat fluorescent adapter

This is my ABCO 5watt pre-heat fluorescent adapter with original bulb. This is a good adapter from what I have seen. The adapter is only for 5watt bulbs it does not do 7 or 9watt bulbs. It was made in the USA and is 120volt.

ReliaBulb's line of CircleLED light bulbs are direct replacements for fluorescent circlines. Simply remove the old circline and plug in a CircleLED. CircleLED uses LED technology to achieve energy savings, extreme long life, and beautiful, no flicker light. CircleLEDs are better for the environment than fluorescents because they don't contain mercury.

CircleLEDs are instant on and have no flicker. They are more broad spectrum than fluorescents and are easier on the eyes. They are designed to last for more than 6 years of 24 hr continuous use, which is five times longer than regular circlines. Even at the end of their life, they won't flash annoyingly like regular circlines. They emit a beautiful light that brings out brighter colors. They are actually brighter than fluorescent circlines since all of the light is coming out the front.

CircleLEDs are also occupancy sensor compatible. Fluorescents are not recommended for occupancy sensors because their filaments burn out very fast with repeated on off cycles. Now with CircleLED, you don't have to worry about early bulb death. Go ahead and add an occupancy sensor and multiply the energy savings.

This 12 inch model comes in cool white color which is like typical fluorescents, but with better color quality. Warm white is also available.

Replaces FC12T9 circline bulbs.
3 year limited warranty.
Assembled in USA.

F15T10 Multi-Color Fluorescent Bulb - Very Cool!

This is one probably not too many of you have seen...Its even more rare than single-colored fluorescent bulbs (ie: bulbs that are all red, green, or blue) We have here a 18-inch 15-watt multi-color fluoresent bulb...These were sold as 'rainbow party bulb' back sometime in the 90's (don't know what company made it) they also had multi-color incandescent bulbs. The light is nothing special, just a generic 18-inch Preheat 'under cabinet' fixture I had laying around (brand is Lights Of America)...this one isn't real blink happy, it pops on pretty quickly. The bright lights in the background are just there to keep my camera's auto-brightness adjustment under control. Like my other videos, my computer did the talking here...

How To Reuse Your Old CDs

!±8± How To Reuse Your Old CDs

The poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said it best when he stated: "Music is the universal language of mankind."

That's why music today is something we can all appreciate, just like the preservation of the environment.

And even though more and more people are downloading music from places like iTunes and Napster, there is still a large amount of us who stick to purchasing CDs.

The bad thing about buying CDs is all the excess paper and plastic packaging that comes with them, not to mention that millions are thrown away every year.

The good thing is that we can recycle and reuse almost every part of our old CDs.

Here are a few creative ways you can recycle your old CDs:

Artwork

Take your old CDs and create a piece of original art on a canvas, or use your favorite CD covers and create a unique collage.

Flower Pot

Stack your old plastic CD drums, drill a few holes and add your own decoration to make a flower pot.

Headphone Holder

Use the bottom of your CD drum (the part with the middle spindle) and tape it up to use as a headphone holder.

Coasters

Decorate them with stickers or glitter, put some cork on the bottom of them, and use them as coasters.

Paint Palette

If you're an artist, use the small circular discs as paint palettes. They're easy to wash off and you can even use a few at a time.

Bike Reflectors

Tape them to your bicycle wheels and use them as reflectors.

Picture Holders

Stick your favorite picture into the clear CD case, fold over the base and use it as a picture frame.

Candle Holder

Place an old CD on the bottom of a candle to catch any dripping wax.

Make a CD Lamp

Make a lamp out of a stack of CDs and a fluorescent bulb.

Bagel/Donut Holder

Pop in a bagel or donut in a CD spindle, cover the top and use it as a carry container!

Wall/Window/Mirror Border

If you have enough to go around your bedroom, use them like a wallpaper border, or decorate the edges of your windows or mirrors.

Of course, if you're not very creative and you just want to recycle your CDs, you can send them to a website like Second Life Disc for free.

The company located in Ventura, California takes all of your old CDs, plastic cases and even DVD cases and recycles them into plastic parts for the automotive and building industry.

Every person around the world shares the love of music, so if you happen to have a few old CDs that you're thinking of throwing away, then recycle them or make them into something fun and unique.

LED Circular Lights For Your Home

!±8± LED Circular Lights For Your Home

In recent years we have seen the popularity for using LED circular lights increasing. The reason that this form of lighting has increased in popularity is down to the fact that it has changed the way in which we produce light to illuminate things today. Rather than generating light through heat when it comes to LED ones they do so through a process known as electroluminescence.

But of course this form of lighting does come at a price and you will find that although there are many forms of LED fluorescent lights on the market today they are still more expensive to buy than conventional lighting are. Yet if you were to change just a few LED ones in your home for the LED lights you would soon begin to reap the benefits.

In this article we are going to explain a little bit more about why investing in such lighting should be considered.
As already mentioned above these types of lights use a process called electroluminescence to create the light which they then emit. Whereas with traditional lights they convert electricity into heat to then provide the energy the components within it need to produce the light they emit. As an LED light uses far less energy to actually produce the light this in turn means that they use far less electricity to create the energy initially.

Another benefit to be gained from installing any kind of LED lighting is that they have a tendency to last for much longer. How long they last will depend on temperature and current settings. But in most cases they usually have a life span of being able to produce light for between 25,000 and 50,000 hours. However there are some LED lights available today that have the ability to last for around 100,000 before they need to be replaced.

You may notice that an LED circular light is much smaller in size compared to a conventional one. But this is down to the fact that they contain far less components within them. These contain a semiconductor chip rather than a filament and gases. Yet even the smallest of these lights have the ability to emit a great deal more light than a conventional light can.

When it comes to LED lighting these contain no moving parts within them and so are far more resistant to being damaged from shock or vibration. Plus as there is no need for the use of glass in the making of these lights they are far more robust and tougher than conventional lights. In fact there are very few cases reported of these forms of lights actually breaking or exploding.

You will find that when you turn on a LED circular it provides you will illumination almost instantly. However when you turn the switch on for a conventional fluorescent or incandescent light it make a few seconds before the level of lighting produced is comfortable for your eyes. This is because the components within these lights need time to heat up.
